Hymns

Joseph the just man and parton of workers,
Pray for us, 0 Pray for us.
Husband of Mary and foster father of the Lord,
Protect the Church.

Exult, you just in the Lord our God,
Praise from the up right is fitting.
Sing to Him a new song with the harp,
Pluck the strings with shouts of gladness.

Trust in the Lord, O you children of God,
And bless his name, and bless his name.
Happy the people who trust in him
And bless his name, and bless his name.

For in the Lord all our hearts rejoice.
Holy his name we trust in.
May your love be upon us, O Lord,
Who have put hope in you.

Joy is the flag flown high
From the castle of my heart
From the castle of my heart
From the castle of my heart
Joy is the flag flown high
From the castle of my heart
When the King is in residence there

(So) let it fly in the sky
Let the whole world know
Let the whole world know
Let the whole world know
(So) let it fly in the sky
Let the whole world know
That the King is in residence there.

Joy to the world, the Lord has come
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing, and heaven and nature sing
And heaven, and heaven and nature sing

Joy to the world, the Savior reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy, repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy

No more let sins and sorrows grow
Nor thorns infest the ground
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found, far as the curse is found
Far as, far as the curse is found

He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love, and wonders of His love
And wonders, wonders of His love

Joy to the world today is born
Our Saviour, Christ the Lord.

O sing a new song to the Lord,
Sing to the Lord, all the earth,
O sing to the Lord, bless his name,
Proclaim his help day by day,
Tell among the nations his glory.
And his wonders among all the people.

Let heaven rejoice, earth be glad,
Tell all the nations his deeds
His wonders among all the people.
Let the trees of the wood shout for joy
At the presence of the Lord for he comes
For with justice he comes to the earth.

Joy was in my heart, alleluia, when I heard them say:
Let us go to God’s house (x2)

And now my feet are standing, alleluia
Within your gates, O Jerusalem.

Jerusalem, most beautiful city, so strongly compact,
Alleluia, on you converge all the tribes of the Lord.

May his peace reign in your walls,
Happiness and love in all your homes,
Alleluia, for you are the house of the Lord our God.

Joy was in my heart when I heard the people say:
"Let us go up to the temple of the Lord".
And now we are at last in the presence of the Lord,
Alleluia, alleluia!

The temple of the Lord will never be destroyed.
How beautiful and strong it stands!
It is here that all will come to praise and worship God,
Singing songs that fill the heart with joy!

May blessings come upon the dwelling of the Lord!
To those who love her blessings too.
May peace and safety stay within her mighty walls;
We revere you, sacred House of God!

Just like a child who trusts his father dear
And who delights to feel his presence near
Just like a child whose mind has not a doubt
And whose heart is never proud.

Here I come, oh lord
Here I come just like a child. (2)

Just like a child, so weak he cannot stand
But who holds firm and tight his mother's hand
Just like a child, who sings in bright daylight
Fearing not the long dark night.

Just like a child that guilty deeds oppress
With mind and heart in trouble and distress
Just like a child who throws himself into his mother's arms
Sure that she'll free him from his qualms.

Just like a lamb he was led out to die
And my sin it was taken and nailed to the Tree.
Soon as a King he'll descend from the sky
And his kingdom shall reign for evermore.

He shall comfort the earth
He shall bring forth pure joy
He shall wipe every tear from our eye.

He had no form but the form of a slave
Man of sorrows, despised and acquainted with grief.
God laid on him all our sorrow and sin
With his stripes we are healed. He made us whole.

For he has trodden the winepress alone;
To the peoples he looked, there was no one to help
So with his lifeblood our garments are stained
And his own arm has brought us victory.

Just to fix our eyes on Jesus
Who has fought the good fight to the end;
And to be the grain that’s fallen
To the ground to die and rise again.

This is my sacrifice, an open ear I bring
Here, Lord, I come to do your will,
Here, Lord, I come to do your will.

Just to follow in his footsteps
And to live according to his ways.
Oh! to be the salt to savour;
And the light in darkness all my days.

Just to be like Christ, the sower,
Planting seed that bears a hundredfold,
Oh! to be the Word Incarnate,
Letting life speak out with words untold.

Just to be the bread unleavened,
Breathing out sincerity and truth,
And to be the cup of blessing,
Praising God upon a ten-string lute.

Keep them, I pray Thee, dearest Lord,
Keep them, for they are Thine
Thy priests whose lives burn out before
Thy consecrated shrine.

Keep them, Thou knowest dearest Lord,
The world , the flesh are strong,
And satan spreads a thousand snares,
To lead them into wrong..

Keep them, for they are in the world,
Though from the world apart;
When earthly pleasures tempt, allure
Shelter them in Thy heart.

Keep them, and comfort them in hours
Of loneliness and pain,
When all their lives of sacrifice
For souls seems but in van.

Keep them, and O remember, Lord,
They have no one but Thee,
Yet they have only human hearts,
With human frailty.

Keep them as spotless as the Host,
That daily they caress;
Their every thoughts and word and deed,
Deign, dearest Lord, to bless.

Late, late have I loved you, O Beauty so ancient so new!
Late, late have I loved you!

Behold, you were within me but I sought you outside,
And I fell upon those lovely things you made.
I was kept from you by creatures
That would never exist but for you, Lord, but for you!

My deafness you broke open when you called me and cried
And you chased away my blindness with your light;
You poured on me your fragrance
So you entered my breath, till at last I pined for you!

So now it is for you, Lord that I hunger and thirst,
Just the consequence of having tasted you.
You touched me with the fire
Of your love till I burnt just for you, Lord, just for you.

Lauda Sion Salvatórem
Lauda ducem et pastórem In hymnis et cánticis.

Quantum potes, tantum aude:Quia major omni laude,
Nec laudáre súfficis.

In hac mensa novi Regis, Novum Pascha novæ legis,
Phase vetus términat.

Dogma datur Christiánis, Quod in carnem transit panis,
Et vinum in sánguinem.

Chorus
Lay your hands gently upon us
Let their touch render your peace
Let them bring Your forgiveness and healing
Lay your hands gently lay your hands

You were sent to free the broken hearted
You were sent to give sight to the blind
You desire to heal all our illness
Lay your hands gently lay your hands.
Chorus

Lord we come to You through one another
Lord we come to You in all our need
Lord we come to You seeking wholeness
Lay your hands gently lay your hands
Chorus

Lead your children Jesus to the altar,
Lead your children, Jesus here we come.

Our hearts are filled with love,
Our lips are filled with songs, lead your children here we come. Chorus.

We know you love us all,
We know you love us friends, lead your children here we come. Chorus.

We come to learn from you,
We come to live by you, lead your children here we come. Chorus.
Lead, kindly Light, amid the encircling gloom;
Lead thou me on!
The night is dark, and I am far from home;
Lead thou me on!
Keep thou my feet; I do not ask to see
The distant scene--one step enough for me.

I was not ever thus, nor prayed that thou
Shouldst lead me on.
I loved to choose and see my path; but now,
Lead thou me on!
I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears,
Pride ruled my will. Remember not past years.

So long thy power hath blest me, sure it still
Will lead me on
O'er moor and fen, o'er crag and torrent, till
The night is gone.
And with the morn those angel faces smile,
Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile!

Chorus:
Leave your country and your people,
Leave your family and your friends.
Travel to the land he'll show you;
God will bless the one he sends.

Go like Abraham before you,
When he heard the Father's call,
Walking forth in faith and trusting;
God is master of us all.

Sometimes God's word is demanding,
Leave the security you know,
Breaking ties and bonds that hold you,
When the voice of God says, Go.

Take the path into the desert,
Barren seems the rock and sand.
God will lead you through the desert,
When you follow his command.

Go with courage up the mountain,
Climb the narrow, rocky ledge,
Leave behind all things that hinder,
God with only God as pledge.

Let all mortal flesh keep silence,
And with fear and trembling stand;
Ponder nothing earthly-minded,
For with blessing in His hand,
Christ our God to earth descendeth,
Our full homage to demand.

King of kings, yet born of Mary,
As of old on earth He stood,
Lord of lords, in human vesture,
In the body and the blood;
He will give to all the faithful
His own self for heav’nly food.

Rank on rank the host of heaven
Spreads its vanguard on the way,
As the Light of light descendeth
From the realms of endless day,
That the pow’rs of hell may vanish
As the darkness clears away.

At His feet the six-winged seraph,
Cherubim with sleepless eye,
Veil their faces to the presence,
As with ceaseless voice they cry:
“Alleluia, Alleluia,
Alleluia, Lord Most High!”

Let me sing of your law, O my God;
Let your love come upon your people.

Through your own word, Lord give us life;
In your Holy keeping, happy is my soul.

I have made known to you my ways;
You have heard my pleading;
Now teach me your laws.

Show me the way to keep your law;
Let your holy precepts dwell within my mind.

Deep in my soul my sorrow lies;
Ever keep your promise, let my heart be glad.

O take me far from evil ways,
And in your great mercy, guide me in your paths.

Within your law I choose to live;
In the paths of wisdom, I walk evermore.

My heart is strong, my joy is full;
Following your law, Lord, freely do I walk.

Praise to the Father and to the Son;
Glory to the Spirit, now and evermore.

Let me sing to my beloved wine
I myself have planted you

Why O why O tell me why oh wine
Why O why Oh tell me why
have you grown in bitterness

See you nailed me to the cross
and you released a brigand a thief
Let my soul proclaim your greatness for ever,
O my God.

My soul glorifies the Lord,
My spirit rejoices in God my Saviour.
He looks on his servant in her nothingness,
Henceforth all ages will call me blessed.

The Almighty works marvels for me, Holy his name!
His mercy is from age to age, on those who fear him.

He fills the starving with good things,
Sends the rich away empty.
He protects Israel his servant,
Remembering his mercy:

The mercy promised to our fathers
To Abraham and his sons for ever.

Let the Lord have His way,
In your life every day,
There's no rest, there's no peace,
Until the Lord has His way.
Place your life in His Hand,
Rest secure in His plan.
Let the Lord,
Let the Lord have His way!

Let the Lord take control,
Give your heart, give your soul.
Trust His Word, God knows best,
He'll see you through every test.
In the storm, in His will--
Hear His voice, "Peace be still."
Let the Lord,
Let the Lord take control!

Let the Lord be seen in you,
Every day in all you do;
In your words, in your smile--
Is He there all the while?
Let His love flow right through,
Touching friend and neighbour too.
Let the Lord,
Let the Lord shine through you!

Let there be glory and honour and praises
Let there be glory and honour and praises,
Glory and honour to Mary,
Glory, honour, glory and honour to her.

She’s the star of the ocean,
She’s the lighthouse along the way.
She’s a comfort to those in darkness,
She’s a beacon for the ones who stray.

She gave birth to the savior,
She’s the mother of Jesus Christ,
Thus all ages will call her blessed,
Generations venerate her name.

She said “Yes” to the angel,
Gladly welcomed God’s plan for her.
She was present at Cana, pleading.
She was standing by the cross of Christ

Let there be love shared among us
Let there be love in our eyes
May now your love sweep this nation
Cause us O Lord to arrive
Give us a fresh understanding
Of brotherly love that is real
Let there be love shared among us
Let there be love

Peace…

Joy…

Let there be peace on earth And let it begin with me
Let there be peace on earth, The peace that was meant to be
With God as our father , Brothers all are we
Let me walk with my brother In perfect harmony

Let peace begin with me, Let this be the moment now
With every step I take let this be my solemn vow
To take each moment and live each moment (x3)
In peace eternally

Let there be peace on earth (x3)
And let it begin, With me (me)
With me

Let us bow in adoration
To this Sacrament so great
Here is new and perfect worship
All the old must terminate
Senses can not grasp this marvel
Faith must serve to compensate.

Glory, honor, adoration
Let us sing in one accord
Praised be God, Almighty Father,
Praised be Christ, His Son, our Lord
Praised be God, the Holy Spirit
Triune Godhead be adored.
Amen.
