Mother's Prayer For The Blessing Of A Child
Abba Father, I come before you
With praise in my heart and a deep desire.
I thank you for the gift of my husband
Who loves me and cares for me.
You know O Lord my deep desire for a child
A little one to love and to hold, to care for, to cherish.
I surrender to Your will O Lord as I hope
That my body may conceive and give birth
To a beautiful, healthy baby in Your holy image.
Guide me in all my choices so that this conception,
My pregnancy and my baby's birth are in line with Your will.
Heavenly Father, hear this prayer of my heart, mind and spirit
As well as the prayer of many other couples who long to be parents.
I make this prayer through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.
Mother Mary, you who conceived Jesus in your womb,
Intercede for me and the many other women
Who seek the miracle of motherhood.
