Hymns

A New Commandment I give unto you,
That you love one another As I have loved you. (2)

By this shall all know that you are My disciples,
If you have love one for another. (2)

You are my friends if you do what I command you.
Without my help you can nothing. (2)

I am the true Vine, my Father is the Gardner,
Abide in me and I in you. (2)

True, Love is patient, nor arrogant, nor boastful.
Love bears all things, love is eternal. (2)

All for You Lord, all for You. Everything I give to You.
All for You Lord, all for You. Make it all your own.

1. Take my hands and feet, Lord, take them all for You
They are instruments, Lord put them to your use,
To spread your love and give the good news
All for You my God.

2. Take my joys and sorrows and the toil of day,
Take my rest and leisure, all I'll do today,
To serve my brothers, share with them your joy,
All for You my God.

3. Take my mind, my senses, feelings and desires,
Take my will and freedom, take my life entire.
I offer You myself and all I love
All for You my God.

All I ask of you is forever to remember me as loving you.
All I ask of you is forever to remember me as loving you.

Deep the joy of being together in one heart
and for me that's just where it is.

As we make our way through all the joys and pain,
can we sense our younger, truer selves?

Someone will be calling you to be there for a while.
Can you hear the cry from deep within?

Laughter, joy and presence: the only gifts you are.
Have you time? I'd like to be with you.

Persons come into the fibre of our lives,
and then their shadow fades and disappears.

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all,
I surrender all,
All to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord I want to follow Thee;
Lose my life that I may save it,
Through thy cross gain victory.

All to Jesus I surrender;
born of Mary, God's own Son;
Through this Eucharistic banquet,
Make me Jesus with Thee one.

All to Jesus I surrender,
May I see thee in the poor;
In the fight against oppression,
Let me never Thee ignore.

All to Jesus I surrender,
take me to Thy Father's side;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that He's my guide.

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

The Lord has promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
Tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we'd first begun.

As the deer that pants for water so my soul longs after You
You alone are my hearts desire and I long to worship You.

You alone are my strength, my shield
To you alone does my spirit yield.
You alone are my hearts desire
and I long to worship You.

I want you more than gold or silver, only You can satisfy
You alone are the true joy giver and the apple of my eye.

You're my friend and You are my brother even though You are my King
I love you more than any other and much more than anything.

At the name of Jesus
Every knee shall bow,
Every tongue confess him
King of glory now:
'Tis the Father's pleasure
We should call him Lord,
Who from the beginning
Was the mighty Word.

At his voice creation
Sprang at once to sight,
All the angels faces
All the hosts of light,
Thrones and Dominations,
Stars upon their way,
All the heavenly orders,
In their great array.

Humbled for a season,
To receive a name
From the lips of sinners
Unto whom he came,
Faithfully he bore it
Spotless to the last,
Brought it back victorious,
When from death he passed:

Bore it up triumphant
With its human light,
Through all ranks of creatures,
To the central height,
To the throne of Godhead,
To the Father's breast;
Filled it with the glory
Of that perfect rest.

Name him, brothers, name him,
With love as strong as death,
But with awe and wonder
And with bated breath:
He is God the Saviour,
He is Christ the Lord,
Ever to be worshipped,
Trusted, and adored.

In your hearts enthrone him;
There let him subdue
All that is not holy,
All that is not true:
Crown him as your captain
In temptation's hour;
Let his will enfold you
In its light and power.

Brothers, this Lord Jesus
Shall return again,
With his Father's glory,
With his angel train;
For all wreaths of empire
Meet upon his brow,
And our hearts confess him
King of glory now.

Ave verum Corpus natum, de Maria Virgine:
Vere passum, immolatum in cruce pro homine:
Cuius latus perforatum fluxit aqua et sanguine:
Esto nobis praegustatum mortis in examine.

O Iesu dulcis! O Iesu pie! O Iesu Fili Mariae. Amen

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art;
Thou my best thought, by day or by night;
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father and I, Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise;
Thou mine inheritance, now and always;
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart;
O King of glory, my treasure Thou art.

O King of glory, my victory won;
Rule and reign in me til Thy will be done;
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall;
Still be my vision, O Ruler of all.

Bind us together, Lord, bind us together
With cords that cannot be broken.
Bind us together, Lord, bind us together, Lord,
Bind us together in love.

There is only one God, there is only one King,
There is only one Body, that is why we sing:

Though there are many branches, there is only one vine,
We are one in Christ Jesus, that is why we sing:

One with Christ in his death that, as one, we might rise.
So we are but one people, that is why we sing:

There is only one table, Christ alone is our host.
He invites us together, that is why we sing:

Bread that was sown in our hills and valleys
Now harvested becomes one
From all the world gather your people O Lord
Into the feast of your Love.

With grateful hearts we sing our joy for knowing
Spirit within among us all
Life and knowledge revealed through your word
Jesus the Christ Emmanuel.

Leaven and wheat so let us be for others
Nurturing good with earnest care
Bringing to birth new life where hope has gone stale
Faith giving moments to share.

Bread that was sown in our hills and valleys
Now harvested becomes one
From all the world gather your people O Lord
Into the feast of your Love
Of your Love.

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me;
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger.

Christ the heart of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger;
And to Him be glory forever and ever;
and to Him be glory forever. Amen.

Come and be filled as you sit at my table
Quenching your thirst as you drink of my wine
Bringing the memory of my dying and rising
Into your bloodstream which is mingled with mine.

This is the bread that has come down from heaven,
This is my blood for the life of the world.

He leads us out of the power of darkness
And brings us safe to the kingdom of life.

No longer have I, but now Christ lived within me,
I live by faith in the Son of God.

Those in Christ Jesus will have no condemnation
He sets them free through the Spirit he sends.

Thus shall the world know you are my disciples,
If you can love, and if you can forgive.

Come, Jesus, come into this heart of stone.
Come, Jesus, come into this heart of stone.
Melt and mould it and make it your own.
Come, Jesus, come into this heart of stone.

I'm not ashamed to tell you, Lord, that I'm a sinner man.
I just love to do the things that go against your plan.

Love your neighbour as yourself is what you command,
But his sufferings, tears and pain is something I can't stand.

When my neighbour's hungry and naked in the street,
I just cannot bear to see and from him I retreat.

You want me to be the salt and leaven in the dough,
But I prefer to stand aloof and let the world just go.

I want to change myself, I don't wanna be a stone,
I need your Spirit, Lord, 'cause I can't do it alone.

Come, O Lord, our hunger to relieve,
Come, O Christ, our spirit to revive.

By your touch, our wounds are healed,
Through you, we are made whole,
By your touch, our guilt is gone,
Forgiven are our sins.
Chorus.

By your touch, our fears subside,
Through you  we walk aright,
By your touch, you break our Chains,
Through you, we are made free.
Chorus.

In your Spirit, we are one,
You are the God of Love,
Our blind eyes begin to see,
You are the God of Light.
Chorus.

Come and stay with us on earth,
You are the God of peace,
To your kingdom, welcome all,
You are the God of Hope.
Chorus.

Do not worry about your clothing, your food and drink.
Seek the Kingdom and all the rest will be yours.

Think of the ravens: how they neither sow nor reap.
They need to build no barns, no house to store.
And yet your heavenly Father feeds and protects them all.
Are you not worth much more than birds?

Think of the lilies of the field, see how they grow.
Can even Solomon with them compare?
Yet not an anxious thought have they to toil or spin.
Are you not worth much more than flowers?

Provide yourselves with never failing treasures,
Which thief cannot approach nor moth destroy.
Sell all that you possess and give in charity.
For where your treasure is, your heart will be.

Draw me, O Lord, to Your Heart of Love
Draw me, O Lord, to Your Love
Draw me, O Lord, to Your boundless Love
But draw me, draw me, my God.

Draw me, Draw me, Draw me to Yourself
Draw me, Draw me, my heart, Lord, was made for You.

Draw me O Lord, to Your wounded side
Opened for me there to hide
And let me drink from the fount of Life
That I may thirst never more.

You have the words of Eternal Life
You are the One sent from God;
Do feed me, Lord, with the Bread of Life
That I may Hunger no more.

Faith in God can move the mountains,
Trust in Him can calm the sea.
He's my Fortress, He's my stronghold,
He's the rock who rescues me.

Lord, you are my refuge
Never let me be ashamed.
In your justice, rescue me,
Turn to me and hear my prayer.

You are my salvation
From oppression set me free.
Ever since my childhood,
You have been my only hope.

Bitter troubles burden me,
But you fill me with new life.
From the grave you raise me up,
So my tongue will sing your praise.

Follow me, follow me,
Leave your home and family,
Leave your fishing nets and boats upon the shore.
Leave the seed that you have sown,
Leave the crops that you have grown,
Leave the people you have known and follow me.

The foxes have their holes,
And the swallows have their nests,
But the son of man has no place to lay down.
I do not offer comfort,
I do not offer wealth,
But in me will all happiness be found.

If you would follow me,
You must leave old ways behind.
You must take my cross and follow on my path.
You may be far from loved ones,
You may be far from home,
But my father will welcome you at last.

Although I go away
You will never be alone.
For the spirit will be there to comfort you.
Though all of you may scatter,
Each follow his own path,
Still the spirit of love will lead you home.

For God so loved the world,
That He gave us his only Son.
Whoever trusts in Him,
Shall obtain eternal life.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
All your mind, all your strength.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
You shall love your neighbour as yourself.

Tis by grace you have been saved through faith in Christ,
Not by works, lest you boast.
Even when your trespasses had rendered you dead,
You were made alive in Jesus Christ.

As the Lord has pardoned you, so must you forgive:
Let his peace rule your heart,
He has nailed your trespasses and sins to the cross.
So give thanks to God through Jesus Christ.

And I pray that Jesus Christ may dwell in your hearts,
Through your faith, through your love.
May his Spirit strengthen you with power and might.
May your lives be rooted in love.

Coda:
Whoever trusts in Him,
Shall obtain eternal life.

God is good to me! O what love I see!
Jesus as a lamb was slain.
He delivered me, cleansed and set me free;
Lord of all, He rose again!

Now I live, yet not I!
Jesus is alive in me!
Sending the Spirit’s flame into my heart again,
God has poured His love on me!

God has shown His love, sent His only Son:
Jesus Christ to save the world.
Life eternal through His death He brought.
Yes, believe that God is love!

God is perfect Love, one who lives in love
Lives in God and God in Him.
Yes, I feel His love; fear gives way to peace,
‘cause I know He loved me first.

God is so good, God is so good,
God is so good, He’s so good to me.

God answers prayer…

He cares for me…

I love Him so…

I’ll do His will…

I praise His name…

Every tiny star that twinkles in the night sky,
Every drop of morning dew,
Every spark of fire blazing in the furnace,
Every captivating view,
Every rainbow in the sky,
Every pretty butterfly,
Tells the fascinating news to those who dare to hope.

Chorus:
And the message is, God still loves the world.
God still, still loves the world.
So, throw your life into his hands,
Day by day discern his plans,
God is passionately busy loving you and me.

Every ocean wave that breaks upon the sea-shore,
Every stalk of golden wheat.
Every silver stream that gushes down the mountain,
Every drop of honey sweet.
Every eagle flying high,
Every worm that wriggles by,
Tells the fascinating news to those who dare to hope;

Every man and woman pledged in love forever
Every little new-born child,
Every voice in favour of a needy neighbour
Every radiating smile
Every hand that offers love,
Every surging flow of blood.
Tells the fascinating news to those who dare to hope.
Great is your name Lord,
It's majesty fills the earth.

Your majesty is praised above the heavens;
On lips of children and of babes.
You have found praise to foil your enemy.
To silence the foe and the rebel.

When I see the heavens, the work of your hands,
The moon and the stars, which you arranged,
What is man that you keep him in mind,
Mortal man that you care for him?

Yet you have made him little less than a god,
With glory and honour you crowned him.
Gave him power over the works of your hand,
Put all things under his feet.

Give glory to the Father almighty,
To his Son, Jesus Christ, the Lord,
To the Spirit who dwells in our hearts,
Both now and for ever. Amen.

Great Saint Joseph! Son of David,
Foster father of our Lord,
Spouse of Mary ever Virgin,
Keeping o'er them watch and ward!
In the stable thou didst guard them
With a father's loving care;
Thou by God's command didst save them
From the cruel Herod's snare.

Three long days in grief and anguish,
With His Mother sweet and mild,
Mary Virgin, didst thou wander
Seeking the beloved Child.
In the temple thou didst find Him:
Oh! What joy then filled thy heart!
In thy sorrows, in thy gladness
Grant us, Joseph, to have a part.

Clasped in Jesus' arms and Mary's,
When death gently came at last,
Thy pure spirit sweetly sighing
From its earthly dwelling passed.
Dear Saint Joseph! By that passing
May our death be like to thine;
And with Jesus, Mary, Joseph,
May our souls forever shine.
