Hymns

Take and eat; this is my body.
Take and drink for this is my blood.

Gather at the altar, share the holy bread,
Join in celebration of the words He said:

We are all invited to the sacred meal;
Food and drink he offers all our sins to heal.

By the bread I give you, life will be restored.
You will be my people, I will be your Lord.

By the cup I offer, know that you are mine,
Know that I am with you to the end of time.

We must now pass over from the land of sin,
Let the Holy Spirit write his law within.

When you share this supper, when you drink this wine,
You proclaim my dying till the end of time.

Take and receive O Lord my liberty
Take all my will my mind my memory.
Do Thou direct, and govern all and sway,
Do what Thou wilt, command and I obey.
Only Thy grace and love on me bestow
Possessing these all riches I forgo.

Only Thy grace and love on me bestow
Possessing these all riches I forgo. (2)

All things I hold, and all I won are Thine,
Thine was the gift, to Thee I all resign
Do Thou direct, and govern all and sway,
Do what Thou wilt, command and I obey.
Only Thy grace and love on me bestow
Possessing these all riches I forgo.

Take my life, O Lord, and ever let it stay
Consecrated to your care.
Take my life and give me your  life abundantly.
Make it beautiful in service, beautiful and free.

Lord, make my hands the channels of your love.
And may my feet walk in your way,
Take my voice and let it sing a song of praise.
From my lips may your word overflow.
Chorus

To you I bring my intellect and will.
Lord, take my heart, make it your own,
Take my energy, my silver and my gold.
In exchange I will treasure your word.
Chorus

Lord, make my body a living sacrifice.
Take and anoint it with your love.
Let me worship you in spirit and in truth.
By your touch my life be renewed.
Chorus

Take our bread, we ask you,
Take our hearts, we love you,
Take our lives, oh Father,
We are yours, we are yours.

Yours as we stand at the table you set,
Yours as we eat the bread our hearts can't forget.
We are the signs of your life with us yet;
We are yours, we are yours.

Your holy people stand washed in your blood,
Spirit-filled, yet hungry, we await your food.
We are poor, but we brought ourselves the best we could.
We are yours, we are yours.

Take this and eat it, for this is my body.
Take this and drink it, for this is my blood.

Taste and see that the Lord is all goodness.
Happy those who take refuge in Him.

Come to Me, you who are heavy laden;
Take my yoke, for my burden is light.

When you eat and you drink at this table,
Jesus' death you proclaim till he comes.

Eat, you poor, and be filled, you afflicted.
Those who seek him, give praise to the Lord.

Come, be filled as you sit at my table.
Quench your thirst as you drink of my wine.

You who eat, break your bread with the hungry.
You who drink of his Spirit, give praise.

Beautiful is the place of your dwelling;
How my soul longs for you, O my God.

See, how good and delightful that people
Share this meal to bring unity.

Take thou the offering thy children make,
All united for Thy name’s sake.

Heavenly Father, almighty God,
We offer Thee this sacrifice,
Show to us thy mercy, O Lord,
Forgive us the sins of all our life.

To thee, O Lord, our joy we give,
Our weariness, our work and woe,
The anxious moments that we live,
Lighten our burden as we go.

For all the living take thou this gift,
For our brothers and sisters who join in prayer,
For the absent ones, our hearts we lift,
Keep them all in Thy loving care.

Take up my cross, it is the Way,
Keep my Word, it is the Truth,
At my Table you'll find Life!

For the cross of sheer folly to Gentile and Jew,
But to us who are saved 'tis the power of God,
So we know and proclaim only Jesus, as Lord.
Jesus Christ who was nailed to the Tree.

For the word of the Lord is a double-edged sword,
So alive and so active, it pierces the heart,
Not a creature can hide from the truth it declares,
It exposes, lays bare all our thoughts!

Lord, to whom shall we go? You're the Bread of Life:
Living Bread that descends like the heavenly dew,
Not the manna you gave to our fathers of old,
But your flesh for the life of the world!

Take, eat, this is my body, broken for you.
Take this and drink, the blood I have shed
Eat of my flesh and live, Drink of this covenant blood.

My blood was shed for many healing your sin.
And if you live in spirit and truth
You shall be free indeed,
You shall be free indeed.

Though like crimson and scarlet be all your sins,
They shall be white, white, whiter than snow,
They shall become as wool,
They shall become as wool.

If you wish to be great be the servant of all;
For if Christ Jesus, Master and Lord,
Deigned to wash our feet,
We must serve others too.

For God so loved the world he gave us his Son
That whosoever has faith in him
May gain eternal life,
May gain eternal life.

Taste and see how good our God can be
O taste and see how good our God can be

I will bless the Lord at all times;
My mouth will proclaim His praise,
My soul makes it boast in the Lord, our God.
Let the humble hear and be glad

Come glorify the Lord with me,
Together let us praise His name.
Look to Him and grow bright in His radiant light
And your face will never be ashamed.

The eyes of the Lord are on the just,
And His ear toward all their cries
The Lord is near to the broken heart
And the crushed in spirit He saves.

O taste and see the Lord is good,
And happy are all who trust in Him.
O fear the Lord, you His holy ones,
Trust in Him and lack no good thing.

Teach Me: Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Teach me to keep your precepts,
Keep them with all my heart.

Thank you for giving me the morning.
Thank you for every day that’s new.
Thank you that I can know my worries
Can be cast on you.

Thank you for all my friends and brothers.
Thank you for all the men that live.
Thank you for even greatest enemies
I can forgive.

Thank you, I have my occupation.
Thank you for every pleasure small.
Thank you for music, light and gladness.
Thank you for them all.

Thank you, I see your Word has meaning.
Thank you, I know your Spirit here.
Thank you because you love all people,
those both far and near.

Thank You, Lord, for all you've done,
Things both great and small,
And for Jesus Christ Your Son,
Thank You most of all.

You forgive us when we falter,
You bring healing when we sin,
You redeem our life from bondage,
And renew us deep within.

As the rain comes down from heaven,
And it makes the earth yield fruits,
So the Word that You once planted
In our hearts has taken root.

You have brought us out of darkness
To the kingdom of Your Son,
In whom all things hold together,
By those cross we are made one.

While the heavens sing Your glory
And the skies proclaim Your work,
Day to day takes up the story,
Night to night declares Your Word.

Lord, we thank You for Your Spirit,
Whom You send to us to stay,
For He helps us in our weakness
When we know not how to pray.

Thank you, Lord, for giving us life, (x3)
Right where we are.

Alleluia, praise the Lord, (x3)
Right where we are.

Thank you, Lord, for giving us love...

Thank you, Lord, for giving us joy...

Thank You, O Lord, Your love is boundless.
Thank You, Your presence is our peace.
Thank You, O Lord, for so much goodness.
Thank You, Your mercies never cease.

Thank You we heard Your word this morning / evening,
Thank You we ate the bread of life.
Thank You for sending us Your Spirit,
Thank You for giving us your peace. (x2)

Thank You, You free the broken-hearted.
Thank You for calming all our fears.
Thank You for bringing us forgiveness.
Thank You for binding up our wounds. (x2)

Thank You for giving us this moment.
Thank You for every joy we share.
Thank You for all our friends and neighbours
Thank You for those who love and care. (x2)

Thanks be to God, thanks be to God,
For in union with Christ we are led to victory,
Thanks be to God, thanks be to God,
Thanks be to God!

We are Christ's fragrance
That goes everywhere to save,
The incense that burns to bring new life.

We bear his message,
Not as peddlers of God's Word,
But armed with sincerity and truth.

We are Christ's letter
Written on the human heart,
Inscribed by the Spirit of the Lord.

That the world may believe, (x3)
In the power of his love:
We will walk side by side, we will walk hand in hand.
We'll change the world through the power of our love!

My prayer, says the Lord, for these my own
Is that they be of one heart and mind,
Just as You are in me and I in You,
May they be one in us that the world may believe.

Wherever you go, there I shall go,
And wherever you live, there shall I live
I will love you and serve you for ever,
For love is my decision today and every day.

To dream our dream, to fight our foe
And to bear unbearable woes,
To forgive unforgivable hurts and wrongs,
To love one another "as I have loved you".

The Bells of the Angelus, Calleth to pray,
In sweet tones announcing the Sacred Ave (2)

Ave, Ave, Ave Maria

Immaculate Mary, thy praises we sing,
Who reignest with Christ, our Reedemer and King.
Chorus.

Immaculate Mary, your praises we sing,
You reign how with Jesus Our Saviour and King.
Chorus.
The cup of blessing that we raise,
Is a communion with Christ’s own blood.

Tell me how can I repay the Lord
For all the goodness He has shown to me
I will life up the cup of salvation
The name of God I will call.

O how precious in the sight of God
The death of those so faithful and so true
I’m your servant, the child of your handmaid
Yes, you have loosened my bonds.

I will bring a sacrifice of praise
And I will call upon the name of God
Before all I’ll fulfill my promise
The vows I made to the Lord.

The First Noel, the Angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night that was so deep.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel! (x2)

They looked up and saw a star
Shining in the East beyond them far
And to the earth it gave great light
And so it continued both day and night.

And by the light of that same star
Three Wise men came from country far
To seek for a King was their intent
And to follow the star wherever it went.

This star drew nigh to the northwest
O'er Bethlehem it took its rest
And there it did both Pause and stay
Right o'er the place where Jesus lay.

Then entered in those Wise men three
Full reverently upon their knee
And offered there in His presence
Their gold and myrrh and frankincense.

Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord
That hath made Heaven and earth of nought
And with his blood mankind has bought.

The King of glory comes, the nation rejoices.
Open the gates before him, lift up your voices.

Who is the King of glory; What shall we call him?
He is Emmanuel, the promised of ages.

In all of Galilee, in city or village,
he goes among his people, curing their illness.

He gave his life for us, the pledge of salvation;
he took upon himself the sin of the nations.

He conquered sin and death; he truly has risen.
And he will share with us his heavenly kingdom.

Chorus:
The light of Christ
Has come into the world (x2)

All men must be born again
To see the kingdom of God
The water and the Spirit
Bring new life in God's love
Chorus

God gave up His only Son
Out of love for the world
So that all men who believe
In Him will live forever
Chorus

The light of God has come to us
So that we might have salvation
From the darkness of our sins
We walk into glory with Christ Jesus
Chorus

The Lord is my salvation, He is my light, my help,
He is the stronghold of my life: why should I be afraid?
One thing I seek and ask you, to live within your house,
To savour of your sweetness, Lord, every moment of my life.

Though hosts encamp against me, firm in the fight I'll stand.
What need my heart to shrink in fear, with God at my right hand.

The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want.
Fresh and green are the pastures where He gives me repose.
Near restful waters He leads me to revive my drooping spirit.

The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want.
Yes, the Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want.

He guides me along what He knows to be right.
If I walk in the darkness, no evil would I fear.
I know that He will be there, with His crook and with His staff.

The Lord has prepared, such a banquet for me.
Surely goodness and kindness shall follow after me.
In the Lord’s own house shall I dwell all the days of my life.

The Lord is near to all who call on Him.
Rest in Him alone, rest in Him alone.

He will guard your coming and your going,
He will be the one to guard your life.
The sun will not harm you in the daylight,
And the Lord will watch you through the night.

He has seen a thousand years go past Him,
Swiftly as the morning fades to night.
So come, let Him fill you with His wisdom,
To number all your days aright.

Lord, in You I come to take my refuge,
Through the night You ever counsel me.
O Lord, You have formed me to be holy.
And to rest within You peacefully.

Trust in Him for ever, O my people,
Pour out all your hearts before the Lord.
Your God is a rock of strength, your glory;
In the Lord is all your hope restored.
