Hymns

Abba Father, let us be,
yours and yours alone.
Set our hearts, our spirits free.
Make us, Lord, your own.

Through your goodness, Lord we bring
Bread of our labour and wine to cheer the heart
Which will soon be filled for us
With the life of your Son.

Take this drop of water, too,
Sign of our weakness, yet symbol of our love.
By its mingling may we share
Your divinity.

Accept Almighty Father
These gifts of bread and wine
Which now the priest is offering
For us before Thy shrine
But soon the Word will make them
His Body and his Blood
The sacrifice renewing
Once offered on the rood.

With these although unworthy,
Some offering we would make
But all we have thou gavest
Then what thou gavest take
Our hearts, our souls, our senses
We give through Mary's hands
Who by the cross once standing
Now by the alter stands.

O God by that co-mingling
Of water and of wine,
May he who took our nature
Give us his life divine.
Come thou, who make-st holy
And bless this sacrifice.
Then shall our gift be pleasing
To thee above the skies.

Accept almighty Father,
The work of human hands,
The fruit which eart has given,
Obedient to your plans.
They symbolize our hearts, Lord
So change them by your word
Into a worthy offering:
Your Sons own flesh and blood.

We fail to keep Your covenant
We fail to do our part
So now we bring this offering
With humbled contrite heart
We bring You our thanksgiving
We come to You with praise
We ask You for Your blessings
As now our hearts we raise.

All that I am, all that I do,
All that I'll ever have I offer now to You.
All that I'll dream, all that I pray,
All that I'll ever make, I give to You today.

Take and sanctify these gifts for Your honour, Lord,
Knowing that I love and serve you is enough reward.

All things are thine, O Lord:
we offer thee what we receive from thy hand.

Blessed art thou, O Lord, Israel's God, for all ages.
Thine is the power and glory and splendour.

Thou art the ruler, Lord, over the earth and the
heavens, only the hand gives greatness and strengthens.

Therefore this day, O Lord, praises and thanks
do we give thee; thy name be blessed for ever and ever.
At this time of giving gladly now we bring
Gifts that have been given by our God and King.

Here is our bread of pain, work of human hands
This is the bread of joy, we will share in love.

See, Lord, this joyous wine harvested from earth,
This is our wine of love, ready for the feast.

Blessed be the God of Israel
who comes to set us free
and raises up new hope for us:
a Branch from David's tree.
So have the prophets long declared
that with a mighty arm
God would turn back our enemies
and all who wish us harm.

With promised mercy will God still
the covenant recall,
the oath once sworn to Abraham,
from foes to save us all;
that we might worship without fear
and offer lives of praise,
in holiness and righteousness
to serve God all our days.

My child, as prophet of the Lord,
you will prepare the way,
to tell God's people they are saved
from sin's eternal sway.
Then shall God's mercy from on high
shine forth and never cease
to drive away the gloom of death
and lead us into peace.

Blest are You, Lord God of all creation
Thanks to Your goodness, this bread we offer:
Fruit of the earth, work of our hands,
It will become the bread of life.

Blessed be God, blessed be God,
Blessed be God, forever. Amen. (x2)

Blest are you, Lord God of all creation
Thanks to Your goodness, this wine we offer:
Fruit of the vine, work of our hands,
It will become our cup of joy.

Bread and wine we bring to you, Lord,
Work of our human hands.
Soon to become your body and blood, Jesus yourself
May all who share this meal divine be one.

Humbly we bring ourselves to you, Lord.
Take our hearts, take our wills.
All that we have and all that we do, we give to you
All for you, our Saviour and our God.

Father take the gifts we bring
Listen to the prayer we sing
Sanctify our sacrifice from heavens above

Draw us close to you we pray by the bread we give this day
May we live by this great mystery of love.

Take this bread and take this wine offered here, O Lord divine
Take our heart and make them yours O Lord we pray.

Make our faith and hope increase, let our charity bring peace
So that we may spread your love along the way.

Humbly we come before your face, O Lord,
Take the gifts we offer you.
Humbly we come before your face, O Lord,
Grant us peace and salvation.

Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation
Thanks to your goodness, here is bread,
Bread which our hands have made and earth has given
It will become the bread of life

Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation
Thanks to your goodness, here is wine
Fruit of the wine and work of human hands, O Lord
Wine to become your precious blood.

In bread we bring you Lord, our body's' labour
In wine we offer you our spirit's grief.
We do not ask you, Lord, who is my neighbor?
But stand united now, in one belief.
For we have gladly heard your Word, your holy Word
And now in answer, Lord, our gifts we bring.
Our selfish hearts make true, our failing faith renew,
Our life belongs to you, our Lord and King.

The bread we offer you is blessed and broken,
And it becomes for us our spirit’s food.
Over the cup we bring, your Word is spoken;
Make it your gift to us, your healing blood.
Take all that daily toil, plants in our heart’s poor soil,
Take all we start and spoil, each hopeful dream.
The chances we have missed, the graces we resist,
Lord, in thy Eucharist, take and redeem.

Lift up your hands  and  offer to the Lord,
Lift up your eyes and see the works of  God,
Lift up your heart unto the heart of God,
Offer your love with his love to accord.

Through your goodness, Lord, we bring,
Gifts of  Bread and wine,
Which will soon become for us,
Life-giving food and drink.

Take this drop of water too,
Our humanity,
By its mingling make us share,
in your divinity.

Lord, we ask you, please accept,
This, our sacrifice,
Sinners all, we bring to you,
Humble and contrite hearts.

Lord, accept this bread and wine
Take our hearts and make them thine
Take our work and our anxiety
Give us life and liberty.

Change this bread into your Body
and this wine into your Blood;
Change our lives, make us united, Lord,
to spread the love of Christ, the Lord.

On the paten with the host
I offer you my lonely heart
All my life, my deeds, my thoughts
Thine shall be as mine thou art.

In the chalice let me be
A drop of water mingled there
Lost, O Jesus, in thy love
Thy great sacrifice I share

All today and every day
O Jesus, let me live in thee;
So that I no longer live
But that thou mayst live through me.

On this day of joy, on this day of hope
We come to you in Love, O Lord (2)

With this bread and wine, we come
To this Eucharistic feast
On this day of joy on this day of hope
We come to you in love.

Bread to be your body Lord
Wine to be your saving blood
On this day of joy on this day of hope
We come to you in love.

Our gifts of bread and wine,
Which once were
wheat and grape
Will be your flesh and blood.

Receive, O holy Father,
Almighty eternal God,
this spotless sacrificial offering
Which our people make to you.

We offer it for our failings,
Our countless sins and offences,
May it rise before you as a fragrance
for our own and the whole world’s salvation.

Simple gifts we bring before the table of God
Simple gifts we offer as a present to God
They’re a sign of our lives,
Which now we give to you, O lord
Please concentrate and make them good

Simple gifts we bring before the table of God Bread that speaks of hunger,
Wine that tells of our thirst
Just a sign that we want to sacrifice
Some food and drink
To let the starving feel your love .

Take and receive O Lord my liberty
Take all my will my mind my memory.
Do Thou direct, and govern all and sway,
Do what Thou wilt, command and I obey.
Only Thy grace and love on me bestow
Possessing these all riches I forgo.

Only Thy grace and love on me bestow
Possessing these all riches I forgo. (2)

All things I hold, and all I won are Thine,
Thine was the gift, to Thee I all resign
Do Thou direct, and govern all and sway,
Do what Thou wilt, command and I obey.
Only Thy grace and love on me bestow
Possessing these all riches I forgo.

Take our bread, we ask you,
Take our hearts, we love you,
Take our lives, oh Father,
We are yours, we are yours.

Yours as we stand at the table you set,
Yours as we eat the bread our hearts can't forget.
We are the signs of your life with us yet;
We are yours, we are yours.

Your holy people stand washed in your blood,
Spirit-filled, yet hungry, we await your food.
We are poor, but we brought ourselves the best we could.
We are yours, we are yours.

Take thou the offering thy children make,
All united for Thy name’s sake.

Heavenly Father, almighty God,
We offer Thee this sacrifice,
Show to us thy mercy, O Lord,
Forgive us the sins of all our life.

To thee, O Lord, our joy we give,
Our weariness, our work and woe,
The anxious moments that we live,
Lighten our burden as we go.

For all the living take thou this gift,
For our brothers and sisters who join in prayer,
For the absent ones, our hearts we lift,
Keep them all in Thy loving care.

United in one body with Jesus Christ the Lord,
We bring to You our offering
Of bread and wine, O God.

We are the wheat of Christ:
If we be ground in the mill of life,
May we be found pure bread.

We are the grape of Christ;
If we be crushed in the wine-press of suffering,
May we be found pure wine.

We offer You, O Lord divine,
Our humble gifts of bread and wine.
We place them on Your altar, Lord, today.
Make them worthy of Your love.
Send Your blessings from above,
Sanctify these gifts, O Lord, we pray.

O take our hearts, take our minds.
Take all we have, make them thine

We offer You, O Lord above,
Our pain and fear, our joy and love,
We place them on You altar Lord, today.
Make us faithful, make us true,
Give us hope and courage too,
Sanctify our lives, O Lord we pray.

Coda
O Lord take all we have, O Lord
