Hymns

Hail, holy Queen enthroned above, O Maria.
Hail, Queen of mercy and of love, O Maria.
Triumph, all ye cherubim;
Sing with us, ye seraphim.
Heav'n and earth resound the hymn:
Salve, salve, salve, Regina!

The cause of joy to us below, O Maria.
The spring through which all graces flow, O Maria.
Angels, all your praises bring;
Earth and heaven, with us sing;
All creation echoing:
Salve, salve, salve, Regina.

O gentle, loving, holy one, O Maria.
The God of light became your Son, O Maria.
Triumph, all ye cherubim;
Sing with us, ye seraphim.
Heav'n and earth resound the hymn:
Salve, salve, salve, Regina.

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy,
Hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children
mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.

Turn then, most gracious Advocate,
Thine eyes of mercy toward us,
After our exile, show unto us the fruit of thy womb, Jesus,
O Clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! (x2)

Amen.

Hand in hand with Christ, our Brother,
His love we'll show;
We will rise and leave the house of God,
To all we'll go.

Grant, O Lord, that we may journey
On the way that was your own.
For our neighbours ever caring
In the way you've shown.

Let all petty strife be banished.
Teach us all the way of peace
So that, living as companions,
All our fears may cease.

With the fire of love now burning,
By the power of God made strong,
Give us, Lord, to spread your message
And proclaim your truth.

Hand in hand with Christ, our Brother,
His love we'll show;
We will rise and leave the house of God,
To all we'll go.

Grant, O Lord, that we may journey
On the way that was your own.
For our neighbours ever caring
In the way you've shown.

Let all petty strife be banished.
Teach us all the way of peace
So that, living as companions,
All our fears may cease.

With the fire of love now burning,
By the power of God made strong,
Give us, Lord, to spread your message
And proclaim your truth.

Happy are the poor in spirit:
They are children of the kingdom.
Blessed the pure of heart for they shall see
The glory of the Lord.
Happy those who mourn in sorrow:
For the Lord will send them comfort.
Blessed those who thirst for holiness
For they shall drink and have their fill.

Rejoice, rejoice and be gladsome.
Exult, exult leap for joy.
Your reward is great in heaven:
Be gladsome and rejoice!

Happy are the meek and humble:
Yes, the earth they will inherit.
Blest the merciful for God will grant
His mercy to them all.
Happy, happy the peacemakers:
For they live as God's own children.
Blessed those who work for justice:
The kingdom of heaven is theirs.

Happy the heart that lives in the heart
Of God, the heart of love,
Happy the heart that learns to love
With the love of God.

God is love; Love your God
With the love he gave in Christ.

God loved us first, loved us best in Christ
For there is no greater love.

We must love, love everyone
With this love that comes from God.

Love brings peace, peace brings hope.
And hope never disappoints.

Spirit of Love, live in us,
That our joy may be complete.

Chorus
Alleluia, Alleluia.
Alleluia, Alleluia.

harden not your hearts today but listen to god speaking Alleluia
Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the new born King:
peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled!"
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
join the triumph of the skies;
with th'angelic hosts proclaim,
"Christ is born in Bethlehem!"

Chorus:
Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the new born King"

Christ, by highest heaven adored,
Christ, the everlasting Lord,
late in time behold him come,
offspring of the Virgin's womb:
veiled in flesh the Godhead see;
hail th'incarnate Deity,
pleased with us in flesh to dwell,
Jesus, our Immanuel.
Chorus

Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and life to all he brings,
risen with healing in his wings.
Mild he lays his glory by,
born that we no more may die,
born to raise us from the earth,
born to give us second birth.
Chorus

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Thou art the potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after thy will,
while I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Search me and try me, Savior today!
Wash me just now, Lord, wash me just now,
as in thy presence humbly I bow.

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me I pray!
Power, all power, surely is thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine!

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way!
Hold o'er my being absolute sway.
Fill with thy Spirit till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me!

He is Lord, He is Lord,
He is risen from the dead and He is Lord.
Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord.

Have this mind among yourselves, the mind of Jesus,
Even though he was eternally God's Son
He emptied himself to be the servant of all,
He was humble and obedient unto death.

He is seated at the right hand of the Father.
God put everything he made under his feet.
He has given to him the highest name that can be named
And in all believing hearts he reigns supreme.

May your inward eye, your vision be illumined.
May you know what is the hope that waits for you is.
For the glory God offers you as your inheritance
Was displayed when he raised Jesus from the dead.

He was despised and rejected by all,
A man of sorrows, a man of grief,
As one from whom people hide their faces,
He was despised, without esteem.

But he was wounded for our transgressions,
And He was tortured for our inequities,
And His chastisement has brought us healing,
And by his scourging we are made whole.

He had no beauty, that we should desire him,
His form disfigured, a worm, no man,
His comeliness and His beauty had vanished,
For He was scorned, despised, oppressed
Chorus

The very stone which the builders rejected,
Is now and ever the corner stone,
Let every knee bend to Jesus our Saviour,
Each tongue confesses that He is Lord
Chorus

Hear my cry O Lord my God, Listen to my prayer;
From the earth’s end I call to you, When my heart is faint.

Set me High on a rock, you are my refuge O Lord.
Chorus

Let me stay in your tent, safe in the shade of your wings
Chorus

I will echo your praise, pay my vows day after day
Chorus

Hear The Word:
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu, hallelu, hallelujah.
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu, hallelu, hallelujah.
Hear the Word of God, keep it in your heart,
Bring forth fruit patiently.

Heaven and earth for ever sing
Praises to their God.

It is truly right that we praise the Triune God,
His majesty indeed fills the earth.

Let us thank the Lord for his Son whom he has sent
And made him shed his blood for our sake.

To the Spirit blest equal honour do we give,
As thrice with love we say: Holy God.

So we join in prayer, with the angels we adore,
While giving thanks to God evermore.

Heaven and earth proclaim God's glory;
Skies and seas show forth his handiworks.
Day and night take up the story:
Great and glorious God's almighty deeds.

Heavens above, O bless, bless the Lord
Hills and mountains, bless the Lord
You sun, you moon, O bless, bless the Lord
Stars of heaven, bless the Lord

Waters and seas, 0 bless, bless the Lord
Plants and earth, now, bless, bless the Lord
Wild beast and tame, 0 bless, bless the Lord
All you creatures, bless, bless the Lord

Humble of hearts, O bless, bless the Lord
All you just, now, bless, bless the Lord
Fountains and springs, O bless, bless the Lord
Night and day, now, bless, bless the Lord

Sing now to God, O bless, bless the Lord
God, our Father, bless, bless the Lord
For Christ his Son, O bless, bless the Lord
Spirit Holy, bless, bless the Lord

Help me my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from my cry?

All who see me, deride me,
They curl their lips, they toss their heads.
"He trusted in God, let him save him;
Let him rescue him if he is his friend."

Many dogs have surrounded me,
A band of the wicked beset me.
They tear holes in my hands and my feet,
I can count every one of my bones.

They divide my clothing among them.
They cast lots for my robe.
O Lord, do not leave me alone,
My strength, make haste to help me!

I will tell of your name to my kinsfolk
And praise you in the assembly.
Sons and daughters of Israel, praise him,
You who fear him, give him glory.

Help us to live as your children,
O give us the courage to say : Amen !

When in the darkness we stumble,
When we are lacking in faith.

When we are hard pressed with suffering
Love seems so far, far away.

When life to us seems a burden,
When all our work is in vain.

Help us to live our commitment,
Help us to answer God's call.

1. I, the Lord of the sea and sky,
I have heard my people cry
All who dwell in dark and sin
My hand will save.
I who have made the stars of the night,
I will make their darkness bright
Who will bear my light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

2. I the Lord of the snow and rain,
I have born my people’ pain
I have wept for love of them.
They turn away.
I will break their heart’s of stone,
Give them hearts for love alone
I will speak my word to them.
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

3. I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame,
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide
Till their hearts be satisfied
I will give my life to them
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
Here I am, Lord, I come to do your will
Make of me what pleases you. Here I am, here I am, Lord.

You spoke my name and beckoned me to come
Before you, now I stand to listen to Your Word

You have the words of everlasting life
If I should turn from you, to whom would I go?

How great it is to stand amid your glory
And let me always stay in your presence, oh, God.

Show me the path that you would have me walk
And give me grace to do what is good in your sight.

Hide me in the hollow of Your loving hand
Where the foe may not pursue, nor the traitor stand
There without anxiety or a trace of grief
Calmed from every tension, I will find relief.

Jesus is my refuge, Jesus is my Saviour,
Jesus is my hiding place: Lord I trust in You.

All the joy and sorrows strewn upon my path,
Death - resurrection traced upon my heart,
I will now accept because I live in You;
And Your Spirit fills me, builds my life anew.

Flood my life with peace and Your serenity
Like a silent pool I’ll live in tranquility;
So that I may flow to others every day,
Like a river growing deeper all the way.

His name is higher than any other
His name is Jesus, His name is Lord

His name is wonderful, His name is Counsellor,
His name is prince of peace, the Mighty God.

He is the plan of God, He is the mystery,
In Him we live and move and have our being.

O you of little faith, why do You doubt Him?
His yoke is easy, His burden light.

In Him is victory, in Him redemption,
In Him salvation, He sets us free.

Holy God, we praise your name; Lord of all, we bow before you;
all on earth your scepter claim, all in heav'n above adore you.
Infinite your vast domain, everlasting is your reign.

Hark, the loud celestial hymn, angel choirs above are raising;
cherubim and seraphim in unceasing chorus praising,
fill the heav'ns with sweet accord: "Holy, holy, holy Lord."

Lo! the apostolic train , join your sacred name to hallow;
prophets swell the glad refrain, and the white-robed martyrs follow;
and from morn to set of sun, through the church the song goes on.

Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit, Three we name you;
while in essence only One, undivided God we claim you,
and adoring bend the knee, while we sing this mystery.

Holy Virgin, by God's decree,
You were called eternally;
That he could give his Son to our race.
Mary, we praise you, hail, full of grace.

Ave, ave, ave, Maria.(x2)

By your faith and loving accord,
As the handmaid of the Lord,
You undertook God's plan to embrace.
Mary we thank you, hail, full of grace.

Joy to God you gave and expressed,
Of all women none more blessed,
When in mankind your Son took his place.
Mary, we love you, hail, full of grace.

Refuge for your children so weak,
Sure protection all can seek.
Problems of life you help us to face.
Mary, we trust you, hail, full of grace.

To our needy world of today
Love and beauty you portray,
Showing the path to Christ we must trace.
Mary, our mother, hail, full of grace.

How I rejoiced when I heard them say -
“Let’s go up to God’s house today”
Here we are in Jerusalem:
City of the living God.

Enter His courts with songs of praise,
Enter His gates with thanks.
He is the Lord, He is our God,
Honour and bless His name.

Come let us worship and bend low
Into His presence come!
We are His sheep, marked with His seal,
Faithful His love endures.

O that today we hear Him call
O that our eyes perceive
And may His touch warm up our hearts
O that we taste and see.

How lovely is Your dwelling place, O Lord!
What peace and joy to feel so close to You!
Our heart and soul ring out their joy this morning / evening,
We long to meet You, God, the living God.

The sparrow even here has found a shelter,
The shallow by Your altars builds a nest.
O happy those whose dwelling is Your temple,
Who day by day Your praises sing, O Lord.

One day within Your courts indeed is better
Than thousand days elsewhere afar from You.
To wait upon the threshold of Your temple
Is better than to waste our life in vain.

O Lord, You are our strength and our protection.
Your favour and Your glory, grant us now.
Refuse not any good to those who love You,
The people that is Yours for evermore.
